Yesterday was July's Monthly Medal 2008. I was playing under frustration. Being psycho by my dad. I putted so so so badly. Every of my approaching shot was about excellent, but ended up with 2 or 3 putted. Maybe not enough luck.
I started at 15th hole Par 5. My tee off was quite far. But so unlucky, the ball was half planted in the fairway. I thought of getting a wood-5 to dig it up, but accidentally topped it. I finished my first hole with double-bogey.
16th Par 4, I made a very nice tee off again and it left me about 140-150metres to the green. I took out iron-6 and made a control swing. The ball went on the green and roll off the green. See how unlucky am i. And, I chipped badly left me about 6fts to the hole. Shamely, I couldn't make par.
17th Par 3, I topped my tee-off and the ball rolled to red hazard once again alike with 15th. Luckily, i could able to make a bogey on it.
18th Par 4, I didn't drive so well, but it left me about 130-135metres to the green. I thought of using iron-8 full swing due to the wind blew. But it ended up with landed back of the green, and rolled up to the half hill. This hole, I didn't complain much as i made an extremely well down-hill chipped and left me 2-3fts. I able to make par.
1st Par 4, I drove so well once again. Here, I can say that Cleveland HiBore XLS worth to be praised. It brought me at least 20metres further. It left me about 110m and i decided to use iron-9 with one inch shorter grip. That was a very nice approach. Unbelievably and shamefully, 3-putted in the length of 8fts. Bogeyed the 1st hole.
2nd Par 3, I topped my ball and almost went into the bunker. I chipped so nicely. But, i missed my 3fts par.
3rd Par 4, I drove the ball off and just reach the '90' sign which means 90 metres to the hole. I made a very good control swing, but the ball drawed to the left. This hole, i made a 7fts par.
4th Par 5, I drove the ball on the fairway, and made a nice 2nd shot with wood-3. And left me 100metres to the hole. I topped spin on my 3rd shot, and luckily it landed right on the green. I made 2 putts par on this hole. I should have birdied it.
5th Par 3, Tee-off with iron-7. It drawed a bit to the left. I chipped too hard and it rolled 7fts off the hole. I missed the par. Bogeyed.
6th Par 5, The worst drive of the day. Hooked the ball and went to the pond. No mood to state this hole. Double-bogey.
7th Par 4, I drove off the fairway to the right. Quite a hard position. I used iron-8 to loft up the ball and landed on the apron. Chipped quite well and par on this hole.
8th Par 4, Left me a 40metres chip. But not able to spin the ball back. Couldn't make birdie again on this hole. So sad. Par.
9th Par 4, I was so happy with my second shot in this hole. The ball was on the half up-slope of the fairway. 140metres left, I used iron-6 and made an easy punch swing. 7-8fts left for birdie and i missed it again! Par.
41 gross for first nine.
10th Par 4, I hit the ball rolled over the green on my second shot. I missed my par on this hole. Bogey.
11th Par 4, Angry with this hole. Same situation with 1st hole. No mood write this hole. Bogey.
12th Par 5, Still angry with 11th hole, no mood play 12th hole. Made a drop shot. But still able to make bogey here.
13th Par 4 and 14th Par 3, I made lucky pars on these 2 holes. End of the day. 84 gross. -_-
I have to do more practise on my chip and putt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received the Cleveland HiBore XLS this morning. Then, right at 5pm, i rush to driving range to have a try on it. At first, i didn't feel good with the driver. It creates low ball and short distance. I was a bit disappointed with the driver at first. But then, i thought and thought and thought again. Impossible that a stiff flex shaft will ended with such conclusion. At last, i found out that my swing was too slow to compete with this driver. This driver needs a very fast swing to create longer distance. One advantage is i don't need to worry about the spot where the ball meets the driver because HiBore XLS has bigger sweetspot surface. I only have to be careful with my head and right leg. Pro Alfredo saw my hit and he said that these ball will carried for 230metres long and couldn't imagine how long it will rolls.
My biggest problem is Dad doesn't know i have this driver. So, am i gonna use this driver this week or yes i'm gonna use this driver but not gonna play with my dad. God, please teach me what to do.

I'm suffering shoulder injury again. In this week, i've injured twice on my shoulder. I can't even raise up my right hand. I think this is because of over practising on golf. After the swing adjustment, yes i can play better. But still, i have to adjust more on my right leg. Ppl always complain about my over swing and that is because of my right leg. Yesterday, i'd been trying so hard to control my right leg and in conclusion, i could swing faster than before.

2 days ago, played 27 holes again with my dad. First 18, i hit a 81 gross with 39 on the first-nine and 42 on the second-nine. I should have play better on the second nine that i missed few par putts which left me 2-3 feets distance only. How can i reach my target if i missed such putts???? I played quite well on my approaching, I drove the ball well from tee-off, i chipped quite well too but i missed the short putt. What did i do??? Stupid..... If i do well on my putter, i believe i can reach single handicap in short time.

Today, i believe my new driver will arrive. That is Cleveland HiBore XLS with 9.5 degree loft, US shaft with stiff flex. I really hope that i can hit further with this driver. I'll try harder to increase my swing's speed. At least 110mph. Tiger Woods can swing 130mph, i believe i can swing it too. Haha... i'm dreaming...

First of the most, i would like to Congratulate to my BRO that he managed to pass his subjects and bring him to a graduated life in study. Leslie, i knew u 2 years ago and at that time, u told me u're in final year. How many final years do u have in ur life?? Damn. Thanks God. You led him the way to graduate in his study. I'm proud of u, Leslie!

Second, Ching. As i told u, u met no problem in ur studies but u met problem with ur own psychology. See, u passed all. It had nothing with any supplementary exam which u said to me before. The time when i saw ur msg that u passed all the subject, i was very happy. At least, i didn't advise u wrongly when u were down. I hope u will bring this advise to the last day of ur university life. Don't forget that James ever appeared in ur life before.

Third, my golf. The war starts tomorrow. A player from Sibu arrived yesterday called Mr. Ling. He's one of three players who will compete in Sandakan Amateur Open. Mr. Lee called me up yesterday morning if i able to take out some time to practise with Mr. Ling as Mr. Ling is very green with my home course. He is now 12-handicapper. Mr Lee will arrive later at 1.30pm today in approximate. He is 0-handicapper. -_- I wish i can learn more from him. Mr. Ling helped me out a very important skill. I had this skill before and i performed it perfectly before but i have no idea why i lost this skill in this year. Thanks to Mr. Ling who brought me back this skill. He told me that i gripped my club firmly where i couldn't whacked the ball faster than before. With my firm grip, i could only hit a ball in a short distance. I should have loosen up my grip and put all the weight on my left leg to control my hip so that i won't bring my body to the front. Thanks to Mr. Ling once again. I got this skill back. I will go for golf practise again later to confirm that my swing is able to compete in this open tournament. Good luck James!

Good news from yesterday. SG&CC confirmed with Lee's application for SAO. This tournament will be very interesting and exciting. Kalana from Miri is coming. Tan(national squad) from K.K. is coming. These are top players in Malaysia. Sandakan's Jacky Chang dropped since he moved to Indonesia for his job. Otherwise, Jacky is one of the top players among the others too.
The schedule has complete. I will be playing with Tan in the same group. I can't tell that i'm nervous or not because he is just a 16 years old kid. The amazing part from him is, he is the defending champion for Sandakan Amateur Open 2007. I didn't drive myself to the final last year because of few disappointing hole. This year, i'll be playing with him and i'm looking forward to reach the final day. Placing is not that important to me. I only hope to get into final day. Today's practise, ON!

Once again, i changed a bit on my playing skill. Dad kept nagging there for the reasons of why i keep changing my swing as the tournament is coming soon. Although that's a new swing, but i felt comfort with it and i found out that i can play consistently if i didn't push myself too hard. That's my advantage currently. But my disadvantage is my distance of each clubs dropped. But still, it depends on my control of the swing and the impact of every hit. Today's practise, still under consideration if i will go or not. A bit tired after yesterday's game. But if i dun practise, i cant catch up with my new swing. Sigh. I think i will go for 50 balls only. Just go for exercise. Lolz.

I just bought a King Cobra's wood-5 last week from Lee Ka Tung(Sibu). This guy is a talented and potential golf player. He won 3 times back-to-back in Sandakan before. He missed up last year's tournament for few reasons(that i dunno). This year, he's coming back. Unfortunately, he told me yesterday that Sandakan Golf Club has no make any copy of the entry form to Sibu Golf Club. And that causes Lee doesn't know the date of SAO(Sandakan Amateur Open) starts. The problem is, for whom who want to participate in SAO now, it will be stated in the waiting list. I called up SG&CC, but the office girl said Lee will still be under waiting list even he won the Open before. It's a bit ridiculous to me. Half an hour ago, i called up Franco whom is a club's clerk. I told him the situation and he said Lee should be able to join this Open because he is a high potentially golf player. He asked me to call him back after half an hour-one hour to confirm once again if Lee can play in this open tournament. So, good luck to Lee and of course me. I wish i can able to make the cut to the final. Hehe!!

First, thanks to my sisters that they are willing to help me find the golf head cover. And, they bought it, even posted it to me yesterday. I was impressed. Juz about 10.15am, i called up the pig juz to wake her up and find me the head cover with lao ban niang. Girls are always girls. It tooks 1 hour approximate to get theirselves ready -_-". I need 5 minutes and everything is ready. HAHA! Waiting for the day of the head cover's arrival!!

Sit, sit, sit..... have nothing much to blog today. Guess i'll juz stop here. HAHA! Stupid blogger....
